Quilt Show

The guild quilt show was wonderful today. There were so many creative and beautiful quilts. One can't help but have been inspired. I got to visit with so many old friends and met some great new ones. One really special surprise was that I won viewer's choice for my little art quilt called Winter Trees that you can see in an earlier post. It was entered into a challenge put on by the guild to make a quilt 36 inches or smaller with the theme "Silver" because the guild is celebrating its 25th (silver) anniversary. I won the most clever prize. It was a silver basket wrapped in silver tulle and tied with a big silver bow. Everything in the basket was silver, including needles, thread cutter, rotary blade, scissors, coupons to the Silver Dipper ice cream store, silver buttons, silver needle holder, and get this, a silver picture frame (I forgot to put that in the picture) complete with a picture of the Purdue Silver Twins in it. How fun is that? Take a look at the picture. Isn't it the greatest?
