In Daddy's Memory

When my daddy died in June 2010, my caring guild members each gave me a fat quarter in remembrance. Over my retreat weekend, I was able to get it all pieced and today I finished up the quilting. Now I need to add the binding and then I'll hang it in a prominent place to remind me of the sunshiny home where he will reside forever with our sweet Lord. Thank you, ladies. It was a precious gift.

  3. I've been lurking & learning from your blog for a few months & don't think I've ever commented. But I absolutely love your work. This is such an interesting quilting motif. I love the quilt too but afraid as a brand new longarmer, my attention is on the quilting these days. Well done on such an innovative wreath.

  5. The pattern is called Flower Boxes and is in the book, Scrap-Basket Sensations by Kim Brackett. It is the 3rd quilt I've made from that book (Island Chain, Blessings from the Hollow and this one) and I have another cut out - Town Square) and am considering one other. Great book with all patterns made from 2.5 inch strips. All of them are pictured here on my blog.
