Faux Piped Binding

I found this wonderful blog tutorial on piped binding and thought many of you followers would love to give this a try. It is fast and easy and looks remarkable. I'm giving it a try on my next binding. How about you? http://www.52quilts.com/2012/05/tuesday-tutorial-susies-magic-binding.html

  1. I saw a tutorial for this a few years ago. It is my favourite method of binding. I use it all the time. I can bind a full sized quilt in under3 hours. That includes trimmimg the quilt, cutting and making the binding, and then sewing it on to the quilt.

  2. I've tried that several times, but it never looks as nice and even as binding with real piping. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. (In any case, I'm glad to know there are instructions for this on the web since the last blog I knew of that had them removed them.)
