Saturday at an Orchid Greenhouse

Saturday was spent in Chicago at an orchid greenhouse. My daughter and I both love raising and enjoying gorgeous blooms from orchids and talked Lane into taking us to a sale in Chicago. As hard as we tried not to purchase, a few followed us home as well as 3 very differently colored violets. The lavender colored one is actually more periwinkle blue. The large yellow orchid is the size of my hand and is supposed to be very easy to grow. The compact yellow one is just beginning to open and the flowers will be about 2.5 inches long. Some were full of bloom but I wanted one just in bud so they would last longer. The other picture shows orchids my daughter couldn't resist.
