Don't believe everything you see on Facebook

Gack! Don't believe everything you see on Facebook and don't count on those luscious posts to look like the pic. This week I saw this beautiful dish, cooked in a crock pot and thought, wow, this is easy, has good ingredients and would work in my busy schedule. HA! Here is their pic and my results. No way can you get this look of her pic in real life. Lane says it pretty much tastes as well as looks like dog food. So, tell me, why do people post all these recipes if they have never tried them? There is no way this poster could have tried this. I followed the directions to a T and even went back to double check when it turned out so gross. This person posts food links all the time. Why, if she has never tried them? I have made a dish that looked like the pic, but it was in an iron skillet with a glaze. I should have known you can't get this kind of look from a crockpot. What was I thinking??? What this needs is some of Sparky's non-nutritive cereal varnish! (Christmas vacation)
