A new year brings new goals and projects. This year I am planning on getting my Northern Wilderness quilt pieced, which I am loving. In the process of looking at other blogs, I discovered yet another Alaskan quilt being pieced by a lady from Alaska that I am dying to put together. It hasn't arrived in the mail, so I am trying to catch up on the other monthly steps for February. February has brought a moose to my quilt.
My next project is the Laquidara/Welsh Mystery quilt. This month has added a 2nd block pattern for the sampler. This pattern also requires 2 blocks. I have one finished but the other cut and ready to sew. Here are the 2 patterns I have received so far. They are 12 inch blocks.
And for the first time in several years, I have decided to do a Block of the Month sponsored by Rossville Quilt Shop. I have to make 2 duplicate blocks each month for this quilt, too. They will finish out at 9 inches.
These and a pot load of customer quilts, plus trying to keep up with 4 shelves full of customer quilts, and sneaking in a bit of snow dyeing and sledding, ought to keep me out of trouble.
Ahh you found Debbie's blog! :) I have been admiring both your Northern Wilderness quilts in progress.
ReplyDeleteYes, she was very sweet to get me the information I needed.
DeleteThe Alaska blocks are great and I love the color palette that you are using for your mystery quilt.
