My quilt guild took a bus trip to Shipshewanna, Indiana this past weekend. The trip was delightful as I got to talk to several quilters and get caught up on their lives. We laughed and shopped three different quilt stores. This is my prized purchase. I loved this dark gray-green batik with yellow splotches. I hesitated to buy it because the shop where I found it had nothing to go with it and I was so afraid I'd never find a companion, but I loved it so much I bought it anyway. Who wouldn't? I couldn't believe my eyes when I found a a perfect companion at the next quilt shop we visited. I'm not sure what pattern I'll use, but I'll search till I find the perfect one.
Now that is a batik even I can love!
ReplyDeleteooh....it would be FABULOUS in Eleanor Burns pattern, Night & Day. It's a 2 or 3 color combo!!! Think about...please post pic of WHATEVER you do decide to do with it.
