I was giddy when it started to snow. I have been waiting for snow since November. Seeing the snow pile up, I grabbed my fabric and started to prepare to give snow dyeing a 2nd try. The results were much better this time. I started piling snow on my fabric about 10:30 last night and then added the dye...Navy and Blueberry for the blue piece, then Truffle Brown and Dark Brown for the next piece. I loved how the blue turned out and quite surprised at the browns. Who would have guessed using 2 dark brown colors, I'd get wine, lavender, and orange? I don't have any of those colors for a quilt and it definitely won't go with the top I was planning to use it for. I've got 2 more fabrics sitting under snow and dye right now and hopefully I can get 2 more in before the snow starts melting.

Wonderful results Viki! Love how the brown dyes separated, that is the best part about snow dyeing, you never know what you'll get!!
