Freehand Challenge

This is Linda's beauty. She asked to have the little square be the emphasis of the quilting design, not the square in a square block and was partial to pumpkin seeds and circles. The biggest challenge was not the design but executing it without correct size circle templates. The only way to achieve it was to do it all freehand. Doing circles is not one of the easiest things to quilt freehand because they love to get wonky, have flat sides, and not meet when closing the circles. By the time I got through with the quilting, I was getting pretty good at those circles.
